And although the art on asphalt started to develop around the world very recently, professionals say that the first asphalt-paintings appeared in the 16th century. In Europe, street-artist, traveling from towns to towns, used to paint chalk-paintings of religious themes on the ground. Basically, they painted Madonna. In the second half of the ХХ century, this type of art has developed and spread in Europe and America. Since 1972, in Italy a festival has taken place every year, where on a common platform artists have created paintings of various themes. By the way, such festivals take place in the United States, too. An especially popular person in this art is British painter Julian Beever. He is as talented as Banksy in his street-art field.

Today, 3D asphalt-painting serve also as an advertisement. Well-known companies such as IKEA, Nike, DHL, Citroen, Sony, Nokia, Hitachi and so on, pay more and more attention to the advertisements of this type.



Especially food theme is an unlimited sphere for creation and expansion in this context for the world's most talented designers and artists. Appetizing sandwiches, coffee on a hatchway, drinks with colored drinking-straws, French fries with zebra stripes, glasses of cold beer or chocolate bars. In short, the human imagination feels like a fish in water. Most importantly, the fact that the food is displayed under feet, do not bother passers-by: it does not cease to look appetizing.



A great proof is the great idea of the company Pedigree: They painted a 3D dog-bowl on the ground. And it looked so natural, that dogs, noticing it from a distance, ran to the painting and began to scrape the asphalt.
